Soda Ash Light (Sodium Carbonate)
Soda ash is most commonly used in:
- Manufacture of glass, where it reduces the melting temperature of the sand used in glass formation and helps in the ‘workability’ or shaping of glass articles such as tableware and float glass,
- Making soaps and detergents, where it is employed as a builder, or filler, to give a smoother surface,
- Production of chemicals such as sodium silicate, sodium bicarbonate and percarbonate, and sodium chromate and dichromate,
- Pulp and paper manufacture, water treatment, effluent treatment, metallurgy and drugs.
Soda Bi-carb Tech. (Sodium Bicarbonate)
Sodium Bicarbonate technical grade is a versatile powder alkali intended for general applications like chemical synthesis, dyes, leather, fire extinguishers, water treatment, plastic moulding. It is NOT intended for applications, directly or indirectly, related to human consumption.
Sodakarb Food Grade (Sodium bicarbonate)
SodakarbTM is a food grade Sodium Bicarbonate with unmatched whiteness and superior impurity profile. It is used as a raising agent in biscuits, cookies, bread, cakes, farsan, jaggery & confectionery. It acts like a buffer and carbonation agent in beverages, electrolyte and rehydration solutions. The chemical is manufactured in accordance with all food safety regulations at our highly automated Mithapur facility.
Alkakarb Feed Grade (Sodium Bicarbonate)
AlkakarbTM is an animal feed grade Sodium Bicarbonate intended for use in preparing nutrition mixes for poultry, livestock & aqua produce. AlkakarbTM usage in feed directly benefits producer profitability through increased layer (poultry) egg output, faster broiler (poultry) growth, improved milk output in cattle, faster growth in livestock & aqua produce. The improved productivity does not come at the expense of animal health; while bicarbonate acts as a buffer to avoid acidosis, it also provides a chloride & sulphur free sodium diet. The chemical is manufactured at our automated and quality controlled Mithapur facility.
Speckarb (Sodium bicarbonate)
SpeckarbTM is a speciality grade of Sodium Bi Carbonate intended for industrial applications like specialty chemical synthesis, high quality dyes, leather, metallurgy, uranium mining to personal care , household products ,vegetable cleaning. It is ideally suited for applications that require low chlorides and sulphates contents. The product conforms to IS 2124: Sodium Bicarbonate : Bureau of Indian Standards. It is NOT intended for applications, directly or indirectly, related to human consumption.
Medikarb (Sodium Bicarbonate)
MedikarbTM is a pharmaceutical grade Sodium Bicarbonate for Pharmaceutical industry. It conforms to Indian and British Pharmacopoeial standards and is manufactured in an FDA/GMP approved facility under a rigorous TCL Quality Management system. The industry leading impurity profile and our superior service capability makes it suitable for the most demanding excipient and API requirements.

The product conforms to IS 2124: Sodium Bicarbonate : Bureau of Indian Standards. It is NOT intended for applications, directly or indirectly, related to human consumption.
Salts
Industrial vacuum salt is a free flowing pure grade of salt used for animal feed and agricultural applications.
- Manufactured via our HACCP system and FEMAS certified.
- Used in all kind of blends and pre-mixes as well as an ingredient in its own right
- Available in 25kg, 1T IBCs and bulk tankers.
Fine 60 is a fine salt designed for food applications where a smaller particle size is required.
- Fine 60 is a sieved product where not more than 5% of product is retained on a 250 micron sieve.
- It conforms to internationally recognised standards such as BS998:1990 ‘Vacuum Salt for Food Use’ and ‘Codex Alimentarius – Worldwide Standard for Food Grade Salt’ ensuring the highest standards of chemical purity.
- These grades are ideal for producing high value and technically demanding foodstuffs, including dairy products, meats and snack foods.
- This product is available in 12.5kg, 25kg and 1T FIBC

Way back in 1949 the We started Somnath Oil Mill. Business flourished. Soon they started Somnath Rice Mill and Veraval Marine Product. And by time span covering mile stones in different industries we set up Soap and detergent and a Sodium Silicate manufacturing unit in Veraval. And for their soda ash requirement they approached Tata Chemicals Ltd and soon they started dealing with TCL on a regular basis. In the year 1984-85 they decided to shift from manufacturing to trading and became Distributors of ” Tata Chemicals Ltd.”
In 1983, Gyan T Bhanusali received the ” Self Made Industrialist” award from the then Vice-President of India Mr. M.Hidayatullah during the 7th Economic Growth Conference organized by the Institute of Trade and Industrial Development. The Sister Concern ” Jay Chemicals Agency” are Distributors for ” Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd, Grasim Industries Ltd, Birla Cellulose Ltd.
Apart from managing business, they are also associated with various social organizations like Somnath Education Society, Ankur Higher Secondary School, Somnath College, and Rotary etc. Mr. Bhanusali was also a committee member of GIDC Junagadh District and has held the position as Chairman Telephone & Electricity Board Committee of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce Veraval.
